About The One Foot In The Grave Site
The first time I ever heard about One Foot In The Foot was in 1992 when I
was still living in Switzerland. My best buddy told me about a report he saw
on MTV about this oldest punk band in the world from Phoenix, Arizona in
the USA.
At that time I had a long-distance relationship with a girl from Phoenix
(who later would become my wife). Because of that and airline benefits through my employer,
I visited Phoenix quite often and was hoping to see The Foot play sometime.
It wasn't until I got married and moved here in 1993 that I saw a
One Foot In The Grave gig posted. I had already gotten a hold of their CD and
took it down to the club. I got a total kick out of the show and afterwards I walked up
to JoDina to have the CD signed. The whole band signed and we chatted for some time.
I started going to just about any local gig I could make it to and in the process
became friends with the band members. I got nicknamed "Official Fan #2"
and got to help out with roadie functions every once in a while.
In late 1995 I discovered the fun of the World Wide Web. As a computer programmer
and hobbyist as well as a long-time punk and hard rock fanatic, I toyed with the idea
of putting something of my own out there. I suggested the idea of a
One Foot In The Grave Web site to the band who was excited and
supportive of the idea and still is to this day.
The site has won several "weirdness" awards but
One Foot In The Grave are for real! Come check them out at their next gig!
