On The Record - "Lookin' Good! Who's Your Embalmer?" Review
Tribune Newspapers, TGIF, February 5, 1993

It's finally here, the album by Sun City's own punk band, and
if you like the Grave's edgy, wacked-out humor, you'll enjoy this
album. If you're not already a fan, though, this album probably
won't convince you to become one.
Without the loopy sparkle of their live performances, Embalmer
sometimes falls flat because it tries too hard to be "professional".
Mrs. Fletcher (I've Fallen and I Can't Get Up), written by KZON
disc jockey Mary McCann, and Junior High, written by Grave guitarist
Gavan Wieser and lead singer JoDina, both sound a bit too contrived
to be fully convincing rockers. They lack the over-the-top goofiness
that has proven so effective in club performances.
However, Clean Up Your Room, written by JoDina, Wieser, Gino Costa
and Ed Nolan, works well here, as does Menopause, penned by Ron
Morey. The energy is all there - and then some.
In Hard Body, written by Dennis Mellen and JoDina, JoDina sounds
particularly enthusiastic while describing the physical merits
of a young barroom bouncer. A nice piece of reverse sexism.
Let's Get Crazy is one of the album's best cuts, if only for its
hilarious writing.
